Robotics Field Support Technician

RIOS is expanding our field service team for our customers in the Bay Area. We are seeking field service engineers to help with assembling, deploying, and servicing state-of-the-art robots. There will be training available for the specific systems you will be supporting, but knowledge of repairing equipment is required. You will also be expected to operate safely and understand the safety requirements for complex electrical and mechanical systems. Time will be split between traveling to customer sites around the Bay Area and working with the RIOS team in San Carlos, CA.


  • Experience with assembling and disassembling industrial equipment.

  • Ability to understand CAD and mechanical drawings of complex systems. 

  • Understand basic industrial wiring diagrams and schematics.

  • Be familiar with working in industrial environments, understand safe work practices around power electronics and equipment.

  • Comfortable working in the field while being remotely supported by RIOS engineering teams.

  • Experience with Linux is a plus, as is industrial robotics experience.
