We are out to disrupt auto parts commerce by changing the way people shop for and purchase auto parts.  We currently work with 950+ Automotive dealerships in the US and we're growing rapidly.  We are looking for a Manager, Software Development to join our team.

RevolutionParts is looking for an experienced Manager of Software Development to help lead our Agile and growing software development team in expanding our core commerce platform and products in the B2C & B2B parts industries. What you'll be responsible for:

  • Serve as a technology lead for the development and deployment of RevolutionParts commerce platform
  • Participate in business planning and communicate technical knowledge of vision for both current and future technology products
  • Represent the needs and interests of all technologies; work with project team to define, recommend and execute strategic and tactical business goals for clients
  • Work closely with scrum master and product owners to accurately prioritize work and execute product roadmaps
  • Maintain process and ensure team is in alignment at all times; consistently look for ways to improve processes
  • Enable direct reports to serve as lead developers; maintain view of big picture and focus on delivery
  • Ensure all technology is following a consistent, repeatable and successful set of best practices
  • Continually estimate and maintain awareness of testing code coverage to identify amount covered by unit vs. automated testing
  • Select, assess, develop, mentor, manage and retain top technical talent. Manage resources, including interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Ensure knowledge sharing among team to avoid information concentration in individuals

Skills and experience you should possess:

  • A proven track record of hiring and developing software engineers to become high performance teams
  • Strong, subject matter level understanding of B2B or B2C e-commerce
  • Years of experience managing software development teams, software development lifecycles, and modern architectures such as AWS.
  • Solid understanding of various Agile development methodologies such as Scrum & Kanban
  • Expertise and demonstrated experience in systems design, development, implementation and deployment processes
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience working with senior leadership in technology strategy
  • Superior understanding and execution of organizational goals and objectives required
  • Experience with resource allocation, personnel management and vendor management
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions regarding necessary team size and composition
  • Extensive commercial software development experience with open source technologies
  • Experience with remote teams a plus
