Position Title: HR Coordinator / Recruiter
Department: Human Resources
Reports To: HR Manager
This position is responsible for facilitating daily HR functions as well as General Administrative responsibilities, using a broad knowledge of Human Resources, and working autonomously and efficiently to ensure the end-to-end running of HR projects and operations.
This position involves performing tasks with a focus on growing our company’s talent pipeline as well as improving our talent recruitment strategies. Future growth will need strategic planning, direction, project management, and communication for hiring needs in each department.
Requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities
Facilitate human resources processes
Administer all benefit plans, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and COBRA notices
Act as a liaison between employees and benefit providers
Resolve benefits-related issues
Ensure the effective utilization of purchased resources related to HR programs and services
Resource for all employees seeking HR, benefit and/or retirement questions
Implement and facilitate all employee hiring and onboarding processes
Ensure company is in compliance with OSHA, & DOL requirements
Conduct audits of payroll, benefits, and other HR programs, and recommending corrective actions
Assist with the performance review, coaching decisions, & termination processes
Contribute to continuous process improvement and seamless change management
Collaborate with other team members and company resources to determine best practices and provide updates to process
Review and recommend Career events specifically designed for all open positions
Meet with hiring managers to determine staffing needs
Review resumes, screen potential candidates and coordinate interviews with hiring managers
Communicate employer information and benefits during screening process
Perform phone interviews & initial in-person interviews with candidates
Perform reference and background checks as needed
Make recommendations to company hiring managers
Maintain relationships with both internal and external clients to ensure staffing goals are achieved
Stay current on the company’s organization structure, personnel policy, federal and state laws regarding employment practices
Serve as a liaison with area employment agencies, colleges, and industry associations
Complete timely reports on employment activity
Other duties as assigned
Execute company projects as necessary based on the needs of the organization
Minimum Job Requirements
Must hold these qualities above all others: Confidentiality, trustworthiness, reliability, integrity, and ability to be impartial and objective
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Administration, business, or related field required.
Must have 3+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Must have demonstrated high level of business acumen and overall leadership qualities.

- Experience working within HR Management Systems
- Past experience with online and offline recruitment tactics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills required
- Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
- Positive attitude coupled with a great work ethic is a must
- Ability to initiate and direct projects supporting our strategic and operational goals
- Ability to learn new tools quickly and recommend cutting edge tools for hiring, on boarding, retention, and reviews
