Position Summary: 

This position is responsible for facilitating daily HR functions using a broad knowledge of Human Resources and working autonomously and efficiently to ensure the end-to-end running of HR projects and operations. Performing tasks with a focus on growing our company’s talent pipeline as well as improving our talent recruitment strategies is crucial to our growth. Our HR Director will be responsible for ensuring the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of Human Resource plans and programs are realized. They are responsible for developing and administering those plans, and the procedures that relate to them.

 

Minimum Requirements:

Prefer a PHR or SPHR certification, we will consider a SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification as well. Requires a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent field or discipline; 10+ years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Must be passionate about Human Resources and have desire to improve in all duties and responsibilities specified.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Develops and administers HR plans and procedures that relate to company personnel
  • Plans, organizes and controls the activities & actions of the HR department
  • Contributes to the development of HR department goals, objectives & systems
  • Develops and/or revises existing job descriptions
  • Conducts annual salary surveys
  • Develops, analyzes, and updates the company’s salary budget by department
  • Develops, revises, and recommends personnel policies and procedures
  • Maintains, revises and updates the company’s handbook on policies and procedures
  • Recommends new policies, approaches, and procedures
  • Performs benefits administration
  • Maintains affirmative action programs
  • Oversees recruitment efforts for all personnel, including writing and placing job ads
  • Conducts new employee orientations and employee relations counseling
  • Conducts exit interviews
  • Maintains department records and reports
  • Attends and participates in administrative staff meetings
  • Maintains company directory and other organizational charts
  • Makes recommendations to leadership teams, based on analyses of worker productivity
  • Identify ways to maximize the value of the organization’s employees and ensure all Human Resources are being utilized as efficiently as possible.
  • Ensures company is in compliance with OSHA & DOL requirements and standards
  • Conducts audits of payroll, benefits, and other HR programs; will recommend corrective actions where necessary
  • Assists with performance reviews, coaching decisions and termination process
  • Collaborates with other team members & company resources to determine best practices and provide updates to any process changes
  • Conducts reviews with management staff to identify employee development plans and create career paths when needed

Other Duties as Assigned

· Execute other company projects as necessary

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

· Knowledge of the travel, hospitality and software industries, helpful but not necessary.
