ReputationDefender is seeking a Strategic Communications Associate to help develop, coordinate, and enhance client-facing documents—such as proposals, progress reports, and various sales collateral—viewing each project as a strategic positioning opportunity. This is an early career role for someone looking to expand their toolkit as a communications professional.
In this position, you will become a subject matter expert as you dive deep into our prospective clients’ digital presence and craft a compelling narrative tailored to the complexity of each situation. What You’ll Do
Write and develop custom proposals, presentations, and other sales collateral geared towards obtaining new clients
Research potential clients and situations to expand upon initial evaluation and establish preliminary recommendations
Capture visual representations of online landscape that strategically support win themes
Create ongoing client status reports, analyzing campaign results in collaboration with Account Managers and Fulfillment team members
Maintain internal organization systems to track proposal completion and report generation
Proactively seek out the latest industry trends and tools to enhance proposal templates and other sales collateral
Provide copyediting support to all teams within Special Projects as needed
What You Bring
Excellent written, analytical, and copyediting skills with the ability to communicate using different “voices” for different audiences and business needs
Experience using data to guide strategic and creative choices
Knack for synthesizing bullet point inputs and ad-hoc conversations into impactful content
Strong eye for design with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to quickly learn and incorporate new digital tools and technologies; experience with social and digital analytics tools is a plus
High level of personal accountability and enthusiasm for learning new topics and sharing knowledge with others; you’re a self-starter who’s always looking for new ways to challenge yourself
Up to 3 years professional experience or equivalent educational background in Communications, Writing, Public Relations, or Sales/Business Strategy—though we’re open to tech-savvy storytellers with less traditional backgrounds
COVID-19 Information
The Strategic Communications Associate is open to remote candidates in CA, AZ, UT, OR, and VA, or candidates local to our offices in Tempe, AZ and Redwood City, CA. ReputationDefender’s offices are currently closed due to COVID-19; additionally, this role reports to the Strategic Communications Manager who is based remotely in Los Angeles, CA. We will interview, hire, onboard, and train for this position entirely remotely to ensure the safety of our candidates and employees during the coronavirus outbreak. Candidates local to either office can choose to work onsite once we are able to return safely.
Pay & Benefits
This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a starting hourly rate of $19.00 - $24.00, depending on experience and location. ReputationDefender offers company-sponsored group health plans to full-time employees and generous paid time off policies.
