Remarkable Health is a growing 50 person software company located in Phoenix, AZ.  Our software is designed to eliminate obstacles faced by Behavioral Health and Human Service groups. What’s This Role About?

Implementing software solutions to fully compete in the healthcare / behavior health industry, which includes the following:

  • Determine a technology stack and associated tooling to build and support an EHR system
  • Research and recommend third-party products, tools, and integrations to support the growth of the organization in a cost-effective manner
  • Understand HIPAA regulations and IT security standards
  • Design software solutions via an architecture that will be reliable, scalable, and high performing
  • Implement a robust platform that is primarily service based applications as part of an n-tier architecture

What You Will Be Doing

We are looking for someone to help us:

  • Lead solution architecture for application enhancements and new products
  • Function as the point person for overall technical solution by aligning dependencies based on enterprise, data and application architecture
  • Implement a best practices software solution to increase scalability, reliability and decrease cost of maintenance
  • Define the technology roadmap
  • Design solutions, including a lead role in project discovery and definition workshops, creating scope and development estimates, and documenting requirements and designs
  • Evaluate, define and prototype alternatives to determine most appropriate approach for each solution
  • Research and recommend third-party products, tools, and integrations to support the growth of the organization in a cost-effective manner
  • Measure the effectiveness and efficiency of each major service utilized by the platform to ensure stability and optimization
  • Ensure architecture governance and compliance with architecture standards, guidelines and principles
  • Perform systematic problem identification, analysis and resolution
  • Analyze and reduces complex problems into simple manageable components
  • Participate in and/or lead code reviews
  • Mentor and coach technical development team
  • Become a domain expert in behavioral health and the Remarkable Health product
  • Understand HIPAA regulations and IT security standards

What You Need



We need you to have:

  • 10+ years’ experience in information technology with a proven track-record in designing and implementing a successful applications
  • 2+ years as a system architect
  • Very familiar with a wide variety of technology stacks and understanding the cost/benefit of implementation in a SaaS environment
  • Able to compare and recommend open source versus Microsoft technologies when verifying their performance, scalability, support, etc.
  • Previous experience designing and implementing n-tier system architecture utilizing services
  • Experience with relational (SQL Server) and Nosql databases (Mongo)
  • Ability to understand the long-term “big picture” and short-term perspectives of situations





It’s a plus for you to have:

  • Healthcare Technology experience a strong plus
  • Experience designing and developing applications in a SaaS model
  • Primary technical resource responsible for re-platforming of a legacy application
  • Bachelor’s with high academic performance
  • MBA
