What’s This Role About?

Implementing software solutions to fully compete in the healthcare / behavior health industry, which includes the following:

  • Responsible for creating an end-to-end vision and strategy for how data will flow through the organization
  • Working with multiple IT and Business teams to set standards that define the type of data collected and how it is used, stored, managed, and integrated within the organization 
  • Design and develop data models and ETL flows to obtain maximum value of the data assets as well as to facilitate the easy usage of the data assets
  • Research and recommend third-party products, tools, and integrations to support the growth of the organization in a cost-effective manner
  • Understand HIPAA regulations and IT security standards
  • Design solutions via a database architecture that will be reliable, scalable, and high performing
  • Implement a back-end service solution as part of an n-tier architecture application design

What You Will Be Doing

We are looking for someone to help us:

  • Lead solution architecture for database enhancements and new product back-end design
  • Function as the point person for database technical solutions by aligning dependencies based on enterprise, data and application architecture
  • Implement a best practices solutions to increase scalability, reliability and decrease cost of maintenance
  • Design solutions, including a lead role in project discovery and definition workshops for table schemas, creating scope and development estimates, and documenting requirements and designs
  • Evaluate, define and prototype alternatives to determine most appropriate approach for each solution
  • Research and recommend third-party products, tools, and integrations to support the growth of the organization in a cost-effective manner
  • Measure the effectiveness and efficiency of each major data access (DAL) type of service utilized by the platform to ensure stability and optimization
  • Ensure architecture governance and compliance with architecture standards, guidelines and principles
  • Perform systematic problem identification, analysis and resolution
  • Analyze and reduces complex problems into simple manageable components
  • Participate in code reviews, especially code that interacts directly with the data
  • Mentor and coach technical development team
  • Become a domain expert in behavioral health and the Remarkable Health product
  • Understand HIPAA regulations and IT security standards

What You Need



We need you to have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of data modeling & architecting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or relevant field from an accredited college or university
  • Understanding of innovative data management constructs, such as logical data warehouse design
  • Established experience of designing and building analytical data warehouses
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience of enterprise data warehouse, cloud, BI & analytics
  • Proven process design skills to participate in business requirements analysis
  • Experience using ETL and other data related tools
  • Primary Experience with relational (SQL) with a solid understanding of Nosql databases (Mongo)
  • Ability to understand the long-term “big picture” and short-term perspectives of certain situations for database design





It’s a plus for you to have:

  • Healthcare Technology experience a strong plus
  • Experience designing and developing solutions in a SaaS model
  • Installing and configuring BI / Analytics software
  • Experience with re-platforming of a legacy application
  • Bachelor’s with high academic performance
