Position/Title: Project Manager                                                                                                                 FLSA: Exempt

Our Warehouse Execution Software, powered by Distribution Science ®, combines execution with intelligence. We synchronize the discrete and low-level processes to create a real-time decision engine that drives labor and equipment at the highest efficiency. Our software provides customers the operational agility they need to handle the demands of an omni-channel environment.



This role primarily works with high-profile external clients either directly or through system integrators. Projects vary in size and scope and require flexibility and tailored project management tools and solutions. This position requires day-to-day management of project team personnel, communication with both internal and external key stakeholders, and interaction with subject matter experts to ensure that a quality solution is delivered.

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration, CIS or MIS). MBA is a plus.

  • Three or more years’ experience in related role
  • Strong business acumen, problem solving skills, and ability to document complex business workflows and processes
  • Two or more years’ experience with an enterprise software company—database and control systems application experience is considered a plus
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Experience with direct customer interaction
  • Experience in producing standard project planning and requirements documents: MS Project plans, risk matrix, functional requirements, communication plans, status reports, vision, and scope documents
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio)
  • Knowledge of logistics, supply chain, or database-oriented projects is considered a plus



Work Activities/Responsibilities:

  • Oversee entire project lifecycle from kickoff to post mortem
  • Engage early with Sales to ensure smooth handoff of client into project mode
  • Minimize scope creep through project by defining clear requirements and establishing sound communication plans early with team and client
  • Define and manage client expectations as they relate to their business objectives
  • Execute change management
  • Contract management—develop, clarify, and manage the scope of the project as needed
  • Provide timely communication to key internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify and manage project risks
  • Define roles and responsibilities of the team; identify the project management tools necessary for successful implementation
  • Prepare the communication plan and related project status reports in a timely manner
  • Ensure that contract deliverables are met and financial goals/milestones are successfully achieved
  • Identify and manage overall project dependencies; ensure that project deliverables stay on time and within budget
  • Provide feedback to internal team members during project
  • Execute formal lessons learned session at end of project
  • Provide smooth transition to support for client
