Frog Works was officially born in 2022, but the idea for the department was seeded long before that. Realm Cellars has always had an innovative edge and embraced taking big swings. Part strategy, BD, innovation, technology and data & analytics, we are the go-to department that will ensure Realm thrives over the next decade and beyond. We have built a proprietary member scoring formula that comprises 17 unique criteria, enabling unique segmentation and personalization. We developed a proprietary process and winemaking tool that streamlines grape and wine laboratory analysis. We have an ambitious pipeline of projects; you will help us accelerate, adapt and deliver our priorities in an ever-changing environment. A day in the life might include analyzing a vineyard acquisition, improving algorithms in our allocation model, or collaborating cross-functionally on cutting-edge innovations. You will help create and build a solid foundation as this team expands (today we are a small and mighty team of two) – with exciting tools in place and the ability to lead new projects and processes, this is a rare opportunity to have an immediate impact on the business.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Design, plan and execute projects – bring our ideas to life

1.1. Collaborate with all departments to arm them with best-in-class tools and processes

1.2. Support and in some cases lead new projects

2. Integrated Business Planning – ensure data is harmonized and streamlined across the business

2.1. Facilitate cross-functional communication and disseminate relevant information

2.2. Strengthen our data suites which connect the dots across the organization: Supply Suite (grape & wine), Packaging Suite (dry goods), as well as inventory, production, channel mix, and pricing

3. Data & Analytics – optimize wealth of data and analyze/report out on a regular cadence

3.1. Data management and record keeping using tools like Salesforce and Tableau Prep Builder

3.2. Analyses to support team (e.g. DTC and Trade metrics including signups, conversion, segmentation, trends; Winegrowing metrics including water utilization, weather data, lab samples)

4. Technology – constantly looking for ways to accelerate our growth and productivity

4.1. Technological innovations, requirements, and support

4.2. Support technology manager and enable projects as needed

4.3. Leverage our existing platforms: Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud), Tableau including Prep Builder, Slack, Atlassian, Snowflake, Airtable, Asana, and more

5. Strategic Planning & Roadmap – support execution of Strategic Planning efforts

5.1. Cohesive, long-term strategic support including prioritization, timing, phasing

5.2. Support ad hoc projects with various stakeholders as well as annual updates

6. Business Development – support BD as opportunities arise

6.1. M&A analyses including facilities, land, and vineyards

6.2. Ensure alignment with overall strategic fit and ROI

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Strategy, Business, Economics, or related field
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a related field
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability and desire to work cross-functionally
  • AI, Salesforce development (Apex), Tableau, data modeling experience a plus
  • Proficiency in the following: Excel (power user), PowerPoint, Salesforce (preferred)
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and analyzing / synthesizing information
  • Nimble with the ability to balance various complex projects at once
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills including presentation of data
  • The ability to learn quickly, with strong intellectual curiosity
  • General knowledge and experience working with financial statements and financial modeling, as well as building and implementing business plans

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Frog Works and this role are based at our Moonracer Estate in Stags Leap District (Napa, CA).
  • This job primarily operates in a professional office environment with occasional visits to a production facility with occasional exposure to dust, gas, and/or fumes, hazardous material, and high noise levels. Must be able to work in a variety of temperature and humidity levels.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe, friendly, positive, and conscientious work environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule with extended hours as required during peak season demand.
  • Ability to constantly sit and use keyboard; this role occasionally stands, walks, twists/turns, bends over, grasps firmly, kneels, squats, reaches overhead; may lift up to 50 lbs and carry up to 35 lbs. Clear vision at 20 inches or less.
