People & Culture Manager
Location: This position is fully remote and may be performed from any of the following states where the company is currently registered to do business: Massachusetts, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina.

About Us:
We are seeking a People & Culture Manager to join our team during a critical growth phase. This is a hands-on role that will support managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle while helping shape the culture across the organization.
This is a full-time role which will have an immediate impact on business operations. You must be a self-starter, able to work independently, and have a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:
- Culture & Engagement
- Assist in creating and fostering a positive and inclusive culture in a remote work environment during an critical growth phase
- Assist with planning employee events, volunteer opportunities, and company-wide meetings
- Support performance review and feedback processes
Employee Lifecycle & Operations
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring smooth employee transitions
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
- Partner with leadership on recruitment activities including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination
- Assist with payroll coordination and benefits administration
- Oversee employee expense processes
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures
- Support employee relations, including performance management and conflict resolution
- Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws, including ACA and EEOC filings, with access to external HR consulting resources for support
Projects & Process Improvement
- Partner with leadership on HR initiatives such as updating the employee handbook and improving HR processes
- Contribute to policy development that balances compliance with company values
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 3-5+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a small to mid-sized company
- Experience supporting organizational change and integrations of new employees (mergers, acquisitions, or integrations strongly preferred)
- Experience with ACA and EEOC compliance processes
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust at all levels
- Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

- SHRM-CP certification (or willingness to pursue) is a plus
Perks:

Work Environment
This is a fully remote role that requires standard computer-based work and frequent communication via video conferencing, email, and chat. Occasional travel may be required for company meetings or events.
