Job Overview:
The Client’s Central Office – IT Services is seeking an experienced Audio Visual (AV) Technician to support live events, conferencing systems, and IT infrastructure. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in AV equipment setup, troubleshooting, and Tier 2 technical support in a fast-paced environment.
Work Schedule:
- Flexible between 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- May include Saturdays (rotation/on-call)
- Onsite role – Telework not permitted
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and support AV systems (Teams Rooms, projectors, microphones, sound systems, video conferencing tools)
- Provide Tier 2 technical support and resolve complex IT/AV issues
- Support live events and digital meetings (Microsoft Teams, Zoom)
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and AV equipment issues
- Maintain and monitor Service Desk tickets and documentation
- Assist with workstation support, printers, and peripherals
- Maintain digital signage systems
- Coordinate repairs and vendor service calls
- Support training rooms and ensure equipment readiness
- Provide user training and technical guidance on AV systems
- Assist in conference room setup and AV design planning
Required Experience & Skills:
- Hands-on experience with:
- Projection systems, LCD displays, sound systems
- Video conferencing tools & AV integrations
- Strong knowledge of:
- Microsoft Windows OS & Office Suite (Outlook, Teams)
- PC hardware, LAN/WAN environments
- Advanced troubleshooting skills across:
- AV equipment and IT systems
- Experience supporting:
- Networked printers and peripherals
- Ability to:
- Manage and track projects
- Work independently and in team environments
- Communicate effectively (verbal & written)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in government or enterprise IT environments
- Exposure to AV room design and implementation
- Vocational or technical training in AV/IT
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Additional technical or vocational training preferred
