Position: Senior Systems Engineer/Windows Systems Admin
Location: Richmond, VA

Role Summary

seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support enterprise Windows Server environments, manage systems infrastructure, and provide expertise in server administration, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, application deployments, and cloud migration. The role involves both operational support and strategic input on architecture, integration, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage Windows Server environments (2008/2012/2016/2019/2022) including user account management, patching, system maintenance, event log reviews, group policies, and Active Directory.

  • Expertise in DNS/DHCP technologies, firewall rules, clustering, load balancing, HTTP/HTTPS protocols, failover, monitoring, diagnostics, and performance tuning.

  • Manage Microsoft Dynamics CRM configuration, customization, workflows, plugins, web services, reports, and integrations.

  • Provide support for server/application architecture, systems integration, Internet/Intranet deployments, and .NET application hosting.

  • Configure and maintain IIS, SQL Server, PowerShell scripts, Outlook, browsers, Office tools, and related technologies.

  • Document systems and provide recommendations for improvements and upgrades.

  • Troubleshoot application/database performance issues related to connectivity, access, and security.

  • Participate in server upgrades, patching, installations, and ensure uptime/availability.

  • Support cloud initiatives including Microsoft Azure migrations and administration.

  • Collaborate with development teams, business partners, and technical teams to ensure standards and methodologies (SDLC/PMLC) are met.

  • Participate in on-call rotations and be available for after-hours support as required.

  • Manage and leverage SharePoint for collaboration and content management.
