Job Title: Sr Mechanical Designer

Location: Duncan OK USA 73533

Duration: 6 months to full time


Description:

Under general supervision, develops engineering changes and engineering drawings for complex equipment with minimal design requirements and instructions. Applies sound engineering design logic and judgement to create innovative solutions to design problems. Expert in creating proper part CAD models. Creates product structures in PDM systems. Proficient in the preparation of complex design layouts and/or schematics based on rough sketches or instructions from engineering personnel with some latitude for independent design judgement. Responsible for drafting quality in design documentation. Checks drawings of other design personnel for completeness and accuracy as required. Aware of tolerance requirements for proper function of equipment. Performs tolerance studies on tools for proper function of equipment. Utilizes and exchanges expertise of the materials and methods. Applies expertise of manufacturing, production processes, operations, and maintenance practices to designs. Incorporates reliability, HSE and Quality analysis techniques during the design process. Job tasks impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations. Skills typically acquired through the completion of an Associate's degree in drafting or similar discipline and 7 years of related experience or through 9 years of related drafting/design experience.
