Description:
Under general supervision of the DME Coordinator, this role is to inspect, maintain, and rebuild a variety of Discharge Manifold Equipment (DME). Responsible for ensuring duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner as per DME standards and guidelines. The candidate would need to have ASNT II (or Equivalent) Visual (VT), Ultrasonic wall thickness (UT) & Magnetic Particle Inspections (MT) as well as a high-pressure hydrostatic Test (PT).
These disciplines are knowledge-based and require hours performed as per ASNT standards.
The candidate would have completed all the necessary hours in each discipline and be deemed as competent in each aspect of the Non-Destructive testing criteria. Such as, UT (Limited Qualification) 40 hrs., PT 280 hrs., VT 140 hrs., MT 210 hrs., with a minimum 520 hrs. in NDT.
A level III DME Inspector can inspect without supervision to ASNT II Standards (or Equivalent) and can sign off on the final QA/QC; moreover, acts as the senior Inspector on location who would also issue and sign off on final qualification certificates.
Performs DME re- qualification inspections in accordance to meet Halliburton, customers' and government entities' standards. Performs own work and Mentors DME Techs I, II & III, and DME Inspector I & II as directed.
Also required to have a good understanding of document & record control and be deemed competent in the same; specifically, must be analytical in their approach.
This role requires a very high level of attention to detail.
A Secondary/High School diploma is required.
A Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in oilfield operations including at least 5 years experience in the inspection of Discharge Manifold Equipment to ASNT II (or Equivalent), moreover, must hold current qualification to ASNT II (or Equivalent) for UT, MT, VT and PT.
Top Skills:
Perform visual and non-destructive examination on stationary equipment in accordance with the API and ASME standards
Provide client with technical recommendations for the repair, re-rate, replacement, and/or alteration of plant equipment
Inspector must have the ability to follow and draw isometric drawings and ability to circutize plant’s piping.
Additional skills:

Prepare technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition and data in a clear and timely manner.
Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Required Certifications:
API 510/570 and API 653 Certification
Job Description call outs:
Minimum of 5 years experience and 2+ years onsite chemical plant experience preferred.

In-depth working knowledge of API 510/570 and ASME standards
Level II certifications in NDT methods (MT/PT/UTT) would be considered an asset.
