Job Title: Quality Control Technician
Duration: Contract to Full time
Work Location: 11200 Bay Area Boulevard Pasadena TX USA 77507
Description:
Under direct supervision, responsible for performing quality evaluations on standard and routine processes and products according to engineering drawings, specifications, prescribed methods, and instructions. Performs inspection of various operations activities. Identifies and reports non- conformance to known standards using various measuring and testing methods. May perform final adjustments. Generates reports of conditions found during inspection activities, notifies operations and Quality Assurance/Quality Control management of significant problems, completes documentation necessary to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection or test activities. May be responsible for conducting the magnetic particle and penetrant testing of parts and initiating and processing non-conformance reports. Assures that all products and processes represent the desired quality, safety, efficiency and reliability levels. Completion of a high school diploma or GED and a minimum 1 years of experience is required. 3-5 years experience which includes Quality and/or Industry experience is preferred.
Training and schedule: Training:
First week is five 8 hour days (M-F) from 8 - 4.
Second week is four 10 hour nights (M-Th) from 8 - 6.
Third week is two 8 hour nights (M-Tu) from 8 - 4 and two 12 hour nights (W-Th) from 6 - 6.
Fourth week is two 8 hour days (M-Tu) from 8 - 4 and two 12 hour days (W-Th) from 6-6.
Shift Schedule
7 Days from 6- 6.
7 days off.
7 nights from 6-6.
3 days off.
4 short nights from 8-6.
7 days off.
Repeat from 1. Position is 100% on site
Top skills:
Multi-tasking.
Basic MS functions (Excel, Word, etc.).
Basic chemistry.
Additional Skills:

Bachelor of Chemistry preferred but not required
Knowledge that this is an entry-level position
The description says a Bachelor in Chemistry is preferred , the manager is only interviewing those with the degree. If your candidates have Chem lab (1 year) experience, you should highlight. this role is an inspector in a chem environment. Candidates must have education and or strong experience.
