Certification in Project Management by a recognized project management organization or Scrum Master a plus.


Job Description

Project managers are the people in charge of a specific project or projects within a company. As the project manager, your job is to plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of the specific project you are working on. Project managers might work by themselves or be in charge of a team to get the job done. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required and should be noted on the resume. Proof of certification may be requested.

Minimum Requirements & Experience:

  • 10+ years – Skilled in managing projects with implementations across large organizations, including developing and managing project plans, documenting risks, issues, and contingency plans.

  • 10+ years – Ability to research, gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze facts; devise solutions; and prepare concise reports or solve complex problems.

  • 10+ years – Experience overseeing the development of SDLC artifacts, ensuring business requirements are translated into technical specifications, guiding, and facilitating the SDLC process.

  • 10+ years – Experience developing and maintaining strong relationships with multiple project sponsors and stakeholders; strong communication and presentation skills.

  • 10+ years – Ability to summarize and escalate issues appropriately, develop and present weekly status updates, and conduct regular project team meetings.

  • 10+ years – Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

  • 10+ years – Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • 8+ years – Agile methodology experience, including overseeing and tracking development progress, ensuring project assignments align with project timelines.

  • 8+ years – Agile project management experience with feature-driven sprints.

  • 8+ years – Experience leading and driving multi-million-dollar software and IT projects.

  • 1+ year (Preferred) – Experience implementing and using agile methodologies and best practices for one or more State of Texas Agencies.

  • 1+ year (Preferred) – Prior experience in healthcare or Public Health.

  • 1+ year (Preferred) – PMP Certification.
