Job Description:

Position : Power BI Report Server Administrator

Location : Richmond VA USA

ABOUT THE ROLE

Serve as the primary point of contact for all vulnerability-related findings. Responsible for reviewing security reports related to BI, coordinating with IT, and ensuring all identified vulnerabilities are addressed in a timely manner.

Seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Power BI Report Server Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our Power BI Report Server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in server migrations, server upgrades, report lifecycle management, and enterprise-level BI deployments. This role requires deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of reporting solutions.


Prior experience with Tax environments and SDLC is now required


Vulnerability Mitigation Serve as the primary point of contact for all vulnerability-related findings. Responsible for reviewing security reports related to BI, coordinating with IT, and ensuring all identified vulnerabilities are addressed in a timely manner.


Must have:

  • 3 years – Experience in tax environments, applications, and the Tax SDLC

  • 5 years – Hands-on experience with Power BI Report Server

  • 5 years – Proven expertise in server migrations (Windows Server, SQL Server, Power BI Report)

  • 5 years – Advanced proficiency in SQL Server technologies (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS), including performance tuning and database management

  • 5 years – Skilled in monitoring server performance, capacity, and availability to ensure optimal Power BI Report Server operations

  • 5 years – Strong ability to identify and resolve Power BI Report Server issues, including data refresh failures and report access problems

  • 2 years – Experience managing user access, permissions, and security roles within the Power BI Report Server environment

  • 3 years – Proficient in managing upgrades, patches, and migrations for Power BI Report Server environments

  • 2 years – Collaboration with security teams to mitigate and resolve vulnerabilities

  • 2 years – Experience providing training and knowledge transfer on Power BI Report Server usage and best practices

  • 5 years – Expertise in low-code application development
