Job Title: Residential Treatment: Clinical Program Manager

Reports To: Clinical Director

Position Summary:

Responsible for overseeing and developing the family-centered residential treatment program including but not limited to: hiring, supervising, evaluating, scheduling and daily program management. Develop, plan and implement strategies for the program's continuation and growth. Provide clinical training to direct service/clinical staff and interns. This position must have a positive and supportive attitude toward recovery, the agency, its mission and continued success. This position provides clinical and personnel supervision of all residential staff. Manager must have the ability to continuously problem solve, think critically and globally with excellent decision-making skills.


The Clinical Program Manager is responsible for oversight of the residential treatment program. Included in these responsibilities are:

  • The development and management of a high quality, evidence-based, gender-specific residential treatment program and cohesive team
  • Contributing to and working collaboratively on program development, evidence-based practice implementation, quality improvement and staff education
  • Supervision of residential team members
  • Communicate and enforce standards of performance and expectations as outlined in the residential handbook
  • Responsible for creating and amending residential schedule and ensuring shift coverage
  • Required to be accessible and on call after hours
  • Ensure the quality, timeliness and content of residential staff documentation by conducting weekly file reviews
  • Responsible for the supervision of residential clients, their children and outpatient clients in accordance with QOPC and CSTAR policies and procedures
  • Responsible for working assigned residential shift as needed and perform residential duties including but not limited to medication administration, urinalysis testing and necessary client documentation (some weekends, evenings and holidays as needed)
  • Proficient personnel and fiscal management
  • Understanding and actively participating in fulfilling the mission of the organization
  • Implementation and oversight of the Department of Mental Health CSTAR program and Council on Accreditation's quality standards

  • Ability to manage multiple demands and coordinate services across multiple programs
  • Understanding of the impact of addiction on women and their children
  • Understanding of client needs and services and the ability to use that knowledge to develop effective programming

Knowledge & Experience Requirements

  • Master's Degree in social work, counseling, or family therapy with a licence in the State of Missouri
  • Certified clinical supervisor with at least 5 years' experience in behavioral healthcare and clinical supervision
  • Program management experience
  • Clinical experience with and comprehensive understanding of women with addiction as well as children and families impacted by maternal addiction
