POSITION TITLE: Warehouse Worker

REPORTS TO: Warehouse Manager 
DEPARTMENT: 
AU Warehouse
                                                                                 
SUPERVISES: N/A
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Casual, approximately 20 - 30 hours per week
LOCATION: Worksite is in Port Melbourne (public transport is available, but is not direct)
SHIFT TIMES: Warehouse shifts are 7am – 3pm, Monday through Friday.

SUMMARY OF POSITION: 
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Quay Australia team. Quay Australia is a market leading fast fashion eye wear company. We are seeking a dynamic warehouse worker with high-energy levels and extensive experience in direct to consumer (DTC) fulfillment, wholesale picking/ packing, inbound freight receiving and outbound shipments.

The candidate for this role must be an experienced warehouse worker, the successful candidate must have a minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, any applicants without relevant experience will not be considered for this role.  Computer skills and experience with online shipping programs is a must.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES: 
  • Picking and packing product to fulfill orders for the wholesale and online businesses.
  • Receiving goods, barcoding stock, stocktake activities, booking pickups, manifesting orders, restocking shelves and cleaning.
  • Core duties include daily heavy lifting of cartons at 20 Kg each, applicants must be able to lift this weight throughout the duration of the shift.  
  • Other tasks as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor.

    • Inbound freight receiving
    • Intercompany transfer of goods
    • Outbound shipments
    • Current forklift license

Key Working Relationships: 
The candidate for this role must establish a strong working relationship with the team of other Warehouse Workers, the Warehouse Supervisor and the Operations Manager.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years proven experience as a warehouse worker
  • Familiarity with warehouse practices and operations
  • Proficiency with a PC, inventory software / online shipping programs, and Microsoft Office
  • Current forklift license
Travel Requirements: N/A

Physical Requirements:
  • This position is based in a warehouse environment. Must be able to be stand/walk for entire shift of up to 8 hours and able work in temperatures typical of a warehouse environment
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move objects up to 20KG
  • Frequently required to carry, push, stoop, kneel, crouch and bend while moving stock and equipment
  • Occasionally required to sit, or climb or balance on a ladder or similar for top-level selection
  • Operate a forklift, pallet jack and other equipment utilized in the warehouse
  • Must be able to perform essential functions (with or without an accommodation) without posing a "direct threat" to the health and safety to self or others.
