POSITION TITLE: Manager, PR & Influencer Relations

REPORTS TO: Director, Global PR & Philanthropy

DEPARTMENT: Global Brand


SUPERVISES: 2 PR Associates (new)






The PR + Influencer Relations Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the US PR strategy with a focus on influencer relationships and partnerships. In this role, the Manager will oversee our in-house influencer program, leverage relationships and strategic partnerships with influencers, and provide a best in a class experience to our network of partners. The Manager will oversee a team of PR Associates who will have a hyper-focus on increasing revenue through authentic influencer partnerships, code sales and analytics.


  • Work with Director of PR & Philanthropy and cross-functional partners and agencies to develop, launch and scale global influencer, affiliate and micro-influencer programs, establishing materials, tools and KPIs, and evolve the strategy based on results, market trends and business needs (20%)
  • Oversee a team of PR Associates; hold trainings to onboard the associates and support the team in meeting and exceeding monthly quotas and sales goals (20%)
  • Develop and execute ongoing influencer program strategies including PR sample forecasting, creative campaign briefs, VIP partnerships, mailers, events, and gifting, informed by insights, KPIs and sales forecast and quotas (15%)
  • Hold weekly and monthly meetings with Executives, PR, Marketing, and Analytics team to present influencer marketing performance; reevaluate and set team goals and quotas; consistently review and update KPIs according to company needs (10%)
  • Maintain knowledge of Quay’s customer, product offering, competitive landscape, the fashion and beauty retail industries, influencer space and talent, and established and emerging social media platforms to inform the influencer strategy (10%)
  • Work directly with influencers to build and maintain relationships and to create content based on overall brand objectives; drive sales via affiliate links and promo codes (10%)
  • Manage and negotiate influencer budgets and facilitate payments (5%)
  • Inform and coordinate creative strategy surrounding Public Relations and Influencer Marketing; assist in creation and organization of gifting to talent (5%)
  • Review and optimize influencer strategy to present new opportunities to further inform and drive influencer strategy to meet brand needs (5%)

Fiscal Accountabilities: Manage an annual PR budget associated with the global influencer, affiliate. and micro-influencer programs.

Key Working Relationships:  This role coordinates closely with the following teams:

  • Executive, Finance, Strategy + PR teams to develop influencer marketing strategy, sales forecast, monthly quotas and budgets
  • PR, Brand, and DTC team to develop, execute and analyze influencer marketing programs
  • PR Director and outside legal counsel to draft and execute influencer partnership agreements
  • Brand, DTC, Commercial Planning, and Product teams to leverage partnerships and amplify influencer assets across Quay’s owned channels
  • Creative team to develop materials for PR activities, mailers + events
  • Product team to place PR sample demand + inform on trends


Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in beauty or fashion PR (both in-house and agency experience is a plus), influencer marketing, or sales
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, PR, Communications or similar field is preferred
  • Successful track record of developing and leading a team, building collaborative cross-functional relationships, as well as cultivating meaningful connections with agencies and brand partners
  • Excellent communicator (both written and verbal), with experience writing press releases, pitches, and marketing or influencer briefs
  • A natural networker with established relationships within the retail beauty, fashion and lifestyle categories across established and emerging platforms (with an emphasis on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube)
  • A deep understanding of the fashion and beauty industry landscape, social media platforms and best practices, and digital trends
  • Experience strategizing and managing multi-tiered influencer programs, including recruiting, negotiating, and contracting talent
  • Ability to develop and communicate a compelling point of view using a combination of data, insights, and experience; organize data and actionable insights in easy-to-understand, visually compelling executive summaries
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage workload of self and team to meet tight deadlines and deliver results
  • Proficient with Mac platforms and Microsoft Office programs; experience with Aspire IQ, Gorgias and other influencer, sales and PR platforms a plus

Travel Requirements: Up to 20% domestic and international travel may be required, with frequent trips to Los Angeles and other areas to nurture influencer relationships, host events and support overall PR activity

Physical Requirements:

  • This position is based in an office environment. Primarily sedentary work with occasional exertion of up to 30 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
