Facilities Maintenance Technician
Warehouse | Loves Park, IL | Full Time | From $17.00 to $22.00 per hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following, as well as other duties that may be assigned.
- Sweep floors in all work areas to remove plastic shavings, dust, and debris
- Empty trash and scrap bins (plastic, rags, packaging, etc.)
- Wipe down workbenches and tool surfaces
- Deep Clean restrooms and break areas
- Mop floors with degreaser in high traffic or spill areas
- Clean machine exteriors to prevent buildup
- Clean lighting fixtures and air vents
- Check and replace air filters in duct collection and HVAC
- Schedule maintenance when unable to perform task
- Return tools to designated places after use
- Label and organize tools in cabinets, shadow boards and toolboxes
- Inspect tools for damage or wear and report issues
- Organize raw materials left over from jobs by type and size – make sure they are labeled
- Keep storage racks tidy and labeled
- Ensure proper rotation of consumables and supplies
- Maintain clear walkways and exits
- Store cutting fluids, lubricants and cleaning agents properly
- Use pallets and carts to prevent items from being left on the floor
- Monitor levels of shop supplies (rags, gloves, coolant, cutting tools)
- Report low stock or reorder when necessary
- Assist in logging incoming material or equipment for shop
Minimum Qualifications: To perform the job successfully, the individual must have the following minimum qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge in the proper user of cleaning chemicals and tools
- Basic preventive maintenance skills
Education and Experience:
- 1-3 years’ experience in a facilities custodial or janitorial role
- Experience working with and around shop equipment
