Property Manager

Property Manager | Atlantic County, NJ | Full Time

About Us:

We are a property management company that owns and operates affordable housing communities. We are looking to hire a full-time property manager for a community in Atlantic County, NJ. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, detail-oriented, a self-starter, and passionate about providing a safe living environment for our community. While previous experience in property management would be a plus, it is not required; we will provide all training.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Attract and retain residents
  • Process move-ins and move-outs
  • Certify and re-certify tenant income according to HUD's rules and regulations
  • Calculate, collect and process rent according to HUD regulations
  • Maintain resident files in complete and accurate condition
  • Work with the maintenance staff to turn over units efficiently (5 days or fewer), arranging for contractors as needed
  • Resolve resident complaints 
  • Maintain property and units in excellent physical condition by conducting inspections, coordinating and following up on work order requests, bidding out contractors/vendors, proactively addressing deferred maintenance projects, etc.
  • Receive and process bills in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Ensure residents adhere to lease terms and company policies and procedures
    Follow-up with all delinquent accounts, pursue collections and process evictions if necessary in accordance with established procedures
  • Coordinate community events to serve and educate residents
  • Monthly reporting to regional manager


  • 2+ years in administrative role (e.g. office manager, records management), tax or accounting related role, client-facing role (e.g. nursing, restaurant management role, etc.), government office, or nonprofit organization
  • Able to work independently with limited supervision
  • Able to prioritize among competing deadlines and tasks
  • Comfortable with computer programs generally (e.g. Microsoft Office suite)
  • High school degree

Bonus Points:

  • Knowledge of fair housing regulations
  • Bachelors or Associate degree
  • Knowledge of/experience with Yardi
