Your Mission?

In your role, you will work alongside the Enterprise sales and solution strategy (presales) team to discover & understand complex customer business problems and requirements in order to translate and create a solution leveraging Pricefx’s platform. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Presales Architecture.

You will be in charge of…

  • Understanding complex customer business problems in the domain of Pricing Optimization and management (PO&M), Configure, Price and quote Solutions (CPQ), and Revenue Management
  • Visualizing customer internal systems and information topology to represent their “as-is” and “to-be” process flows and lay out their solution and integration architecture
  • Mapping customer-specific problems and systems to Pricefx platform capabilities using fit-gap analysis and providing solution design recommendations
  • Establishing confidence in recommendations by demonstrating expertise in our platform using custom product demonstrations, technical presentations, proof of concepts, process flows, RFP/RFI responses, and product roadmap discussions
  • Articulating selected recommendations and overcoming technical concerns, doubts or objections that will help move the sales process forward
  • Partnering with sales, solution strategy, customer solutions, customer success and product teams on the key revenue operations supporting customer life cycle
  • Leveraging knowledge gained from production deployments and customer experiences to advocate best practices to prospective customers during the presales phase
  • Conducting technical discovery to assess their architecture-specific performance, scalability, high availability, security needs and create solution architecture that satisfies their needs
  • Exhibiting proficiency of the core platform, including all current and future features and update sales and presales materials in support of the opportunity execution

What should you have to succeed?

  • BS degree in Computer Science or related, or equivalent in relevant work experience
  • Minimum 5 years prior pre-sales experience as a Solution Architect within a mid-market to enterprise-level SaaS offering, ideally cloud-based
  • Minimum 2 years prior experience in B2B solutions spanning ERP, CRM, CPQ, and CLM that demonstrate understanding of lead-to-cash problem space is preferred
  • Experience in designing solutions with integration architecture across enterprise systems such as Salesforce, SAP (ECC & S/4HANA), Oracle (JD Edwards & EBS) and other Sales and Commerce Cloud platforms
  • Familiarity with web-based solutions and application development or configuration using HTML, XML, CSS, Java, Groovy, JavaScript, Python, R etc
  • Experience with ops development including tools, build automation, IT security, and single sign-on
  • Proficient in delivering software demonstrations in-person and virtually
  • Experience with technical business documentation like workflow diagrams, proposals, SOWs, RFPs and RFIs, etc.
  • Proven experience working with employees at all levels of an organization
  • Familiarity w/system integration methods such as web services, SOAP APIs & REST APIs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

This would make it easier

  • Prior experience with Pricing Optimization & Management, Configure, Price & Quote and other Revenue Management technologies
  • Functional knowledge of the interactions between Pricing, CPQ, CRM, and ERP systems and related business process design
  • Prior experience as a team member of implementations related to Pricing Software, CPQ, and experience in the capacity of a Solution Architect in a consulting organization
  • Certifications in Web, Database, and Object-Oriented Software Technologies or/and CPQ, CRM, ERP platforms and solutions
