Your mission

• Develop and supply observability infrastructure for our products!
• What do we use in our Cloud Engineering team? Kubernetes, Argo, Helm, Jsonnet, Zalando’s Postgres Operator, PostgreSQL, Gitlab, Terraform, Grafana stack (Prometheus, Loki, Pyroscope, Tempo, OnCall) and others.

You will be in charge of...

• Setting up and tuning observability stack for PostgreSQL databases
• Correlating Postgres telemetry with compute telemetry
• Postgres tunning and cost optimization leadership
• Setting up a process that will ensure that all our hundreds of database clusters set optimally in long-term
• Supporting Developers, SREs, SysAdmins and Support people who do individual investigations
• Automating as much as possible in a Kubernetes native manner

What should you have to succeed?

• 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering or related field
• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL tuning and sizing
• Strong understanding of observability through metrics, logs, traces and their correlation
• Willingness to learn and apply all the learnings for other stateful sets we run (like Yugabyte, Redis, RabbitMQ,… )
• Willingness to learn a new stuff every day
• Team player
• Pushing limits and boundaries
• Ability to work on your own, doers mentality
• Fluent English knowledge

• Prague, Hradec Králové, Ostrava, or any location in the Czech Republic
