 Reports to:                             Installation Manager (direct), Lead Technician (indirect) and Project Manager (indirect)

Summary/Objective:  A Field Technician role is responsible for the installation and configuration of audio/visual systems designed and sold by Presentation Products, Inc. A Field Technician is a mid-level technician role in which you will be following direction of the Senior Technician and/or Project Manager in completing the installations at one or more job sites. 

Job Responsibilities:

•Mounts and installs audio/visual systems

•Performs functions associated with the installation of audio/visual systems such as cable running, soldering, and termination & testing

•May be required to drive equipped company vans

•All other duties as assigned by supervisor

Required Certification/Experience:

•High school diploma or equivalency

•Experience performing each of the job responsibilities outlined above in an associated industry

•Experience working with hand tools (e.g., hammer, screwdriver) and power tools (e.g., drills)

•Demonstrate knowledge of termination standards

•Demonstrate knowledge in device mounting

•Demonstrate knowledge in tool usage and safety

•Demonstrate ability to read schematics and drawing sets

•Familiarity of industry practices 

•Ability to understand electronics and to learn new web-based software and mobile applications.

•Must possess a valid driver’s license


Preferred Certification/Experience:

•OSHA 30 Certification 

•Construction and/or AV experience a major plus

•College degree or certification in technology 

•PC literacy in a Windows environment, MAC helpful

•Proficient in Microsoft Office

•Maintain regular and punctual daily attendance in the office or in the filed as applicable.

•Comply with all company policies and procedures

•Work overtime as assigned.
