Role at a Glance

The Performance Marketing Lead will spearhead Plastiq’s data-informed acquisition experiments and campaigns. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this person will drive the conception, launch, and ongoing optimization of experiments and campaigns via a variety of channels. The ideal candidate is well-practiced in the disciplines within acquisition marketing, testing, and experimentation. They have high analytical competence, as well as a structured and results-oriented working ideology.

About You

  • 4+ years of experience in growth experiments, acquisition marketing, and/or a highly quantitative and measurable role

  • You have a strategic mind that can derive insights, make recommendations, and scope plans based on performance numbers and customer behavior

  • Rich experience in leading online and offline marketing campaigns, including, but not limited to SEO, SEM, Social Media, Email Marketing, Content Marketing, Physical Mail/Collateral, and ad platforms (Adwords, Facebook, Doubleclick, etc.)

  • Extremely comfortable working with and manipulating data to identify actionable insights

  • Superior attention to detail and organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet hard deadlines

  • Stellar interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication skills

  • Highly proficient at Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, and SQL

  • Solid experience with marketing tools such as Google Analytics, MixPanel, Marketo, and Optimizely

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

  • Items that are a plus:

    • Background in SMB payments or financial technology

    • Experience in at an early stage startup or financial technology company


  • Customer acquisition, funnel analysis, and channel optimization

  • Craft, recommend, and execute experiments and campaigns across a variety of paid and non-paid channels

  • Analyze and interpret the results of experiments and campaigns

  • Manage inventive marketing experimentation through A/B testing and creative iteration, using both quantitative and qualitative information and insight

  • Develop dashboards and visualizations for ongoing measurement and insights

  • Continuously propose and implement optimization recommendations to improve the performance of experiments and campaigns
