Position Description:

Varies by position. Interns and Co-ops are often hired for most of our larger projects. It is a great opportunity to experience the heavy construction world.

Applicants may be asked to support the project's field engineering and technical activities. Typical Duties may include but are not limited to: Assist in processing shop drawings, submittals and “RFI’s”; Perform QA/QC checks for material receipt and placement; Responsibilities do include support of the field operations, which include regular site visits and interaction with the crews and Owner's inspection staff. Being able to problem solve and react quickly to issues on the project is key. Gain familiarity with corporate scheduling, estimating, cost accounting and project planning; Obtain competitive quotes and place written purchase orders for misc. purchases on job; Execute such other assignments as directed by Supervisor.

PKF Mark III is seeking motivated student Co-Ops/Interns who are excited about a career in construction. Ideal candidates possess personal initiative, strong organization skills and an interest in problem solving and critical thinking. Strong people skills and the ability to work in a team environment are essential.

Preferred Fields of Study: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Construction Management
