Full job description
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for providing supervision to clinical and non-clinical staff, and direct individual and group substance disorder (SUD) counseling to clients. This position will also provide administrative/management support to multi-site programs such as Genisis, youth SUD and STARS, Adult SUD programs. The SUD Clinical Supervisor will consistently act in accordance with the client's standards of care, including maintaining professional ethics, boundaries and client confidentiality while working with the tools of Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Medication Assisted Treatment.
Core Job Duties
· Ensure that all services are delivered in compliance with agency standards, regulatory and contractual requirements
· Provide supportive and empathic individual counseling
· Maintain effective documentation and record keeping systems, including but not limited to: ASAM assessment, treatment planning, re-assessment, progress notes, case management notes, consent forms, data collection and aftercare and discharge planning and follow-up
· Maintain current working knowledge of referral sources such as housing, medical, mental health, MAT, outpatient counseling, and dental, legal, self-help groups and others to provide comprehensive services to the program clients
· Facilitate groups as assigned and complete required documentation
· Assist in interviewing, hiring, training and professional development of new clinicians
· Supervise, direct, train and evaluate assigned staff, and maintain appropriate supervision documentation
· Provide emergency support to program staff, as needed
· Assist in program evaluation and development, problem solving and planning
· Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATION(S): WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Must be one of the following:
o QMHP - a person who has completed a practicum or at least one (1) year of experience under the supervision of a QMHP. *All experience must include working with individuals with psychiatric, substance use, and/or developmental disabilities
o QAP - a person who is certified or registered with one of the following credentials as per the Missouri Credentialing Board; (CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, CCJP, CCDP, CCDP-D, RADC, and RADC-P)
* One (1) year of training or supervised experience in substance abuse treatment required
o If less than one (1) year of experience is obtained in providing co-occurring disorder treatment then person shall be actively acquiring 24 hours of training in co-occurring content and receive supervision from experienced co-occurring staff as approved by the department
* A valid driver's license and agency established minimum automobile coverage required
QUALIFICATION(S): LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) with provisional or full licensure OR Qualified Addictions Professional (QAP) required
Or
Must hold one of the following licenses in MO: PLPC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, PLMFT or LMFT
