The Residential Program Coordinator is responsible for both programmatic and site-based operations of the residential services programs. This position assists with all program locations. This position is focused on managing day to day residential operations and housing programs, which provide people who have different abilities and opportunities to live in a home-based environment while achieving the highest level of independence possible. Residential Program Coordinator directly supervises supported living coordinator.

General Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate the treatment services and care for the Residents.
  • Completes all residential screenings and intake procedures.
  • Evaluate services and care for the Residents and ensure documentation and regulatory compliance.
  • Functions in accordance with the policies of ALM Hopewell Center, state and federal regulation, and within professional code of ethics
  • participates in staffing of persons served and assist client establish goals and objectives for treatment and assumes management responsibilities for cases assigned.
  • Participates in and contributes to various staff development activities.
  • Responsive to all Corporate Compliance and Quality Assurance procedures, cooperates with utilization review procedures, and follows established procedures, rules, and regulations of the clinical records department.
  • responsible for management needs, such as data collection, program evaluation, development of grant applications, maintenance of contracts for services, etc.
  • Functions in accordance with the organization’s policies, state, and federal regulation, and within professional code of ethics.
  • Manages the supported community living program (SCLP)

Specific program Responsibilities

  1. Pre- screen, admitting clients to the residential program.
  2. Coordinating all aspects of facility and program operations.
  3. Supervises Supported Living Coordinator, and residential staff.
  4. Ensure all buildings are habitable and in compliance with all regulations.
  5. Ensure staffing are properly trained.
  6. Coordinates maintenance of the facility locations and coordinates utilization of internal and external resources.
  7. Hold regularly scheduled individual supervisory meetings with direct reports.
  8. Assist in crisis intervention during regular business hours and after the hours, including weekends.
  9. Be readily available to serve as back up when there is a call off in residential program.
  10. Ensures treatment notes are thoroughly written and approved.
  11. Regularly review and monitor written documentation, providing corrective feedback.
  12. Must be available 24 hr. on-call duty.
  13. Ensure all residential beds/apartments are occupied at all times.

ADMINISTRATIVE:

  1. Report all critical incidents to direct supervisor and the organizations compliance department.
  2. Report any policy violation in residential programs.
  3. Maintain residential programs compliance with licensure, accreditation, and State, Federal, and agency rules, standards, and policies.
  4. Ensure residential houses are sufficiently resourced with supplies per budget allocation.
  5. Coordinate data collection and program evaluations.
  6. Participate in departmental meetings.
  7. Evaluate each staff member according to the performance evaluation guidelines.
  8. Facilitate the disciplinary process with supervisees as per guidelines when needed.
  9. Review all travel vouchers and certify that mileage claimed is reasonable and for medically necessary activities.
  10. Review all residential billing to make sure they meet billable standards as stipulated by state, federal or funders.

EMPLOYEE EVALUATION:

Periodic evaluation of the employee will be based upon the extent to which the listed principal responsibilities are discharged. Additional consideration will be given to:

  1. Ensuring residential programs are operating with great efficiency.
  2. Adaptability (ability to perform effectively in the face of changing job demands).
  3. Initiative (taking necessary and appropriate action in a timely manner.
  4. Such factors as reliability, motivation, creativity, cooperativeness, and appearance.

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field, and three years' experience working in a residential program, with two years in supervisory role. Must have experience working with people with developmental disabilities or in behavioral health setting.

CERT/FICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Successfully complete CPR, CPI, First Aid and Medication Administration training
