Hardware Logistics Intern

The company is seeking to hire a Hardware Logistics Intern for the summer of 2024 to work with our client hardware staging.

This position is required on-site at Novi, Michigan. The schedule is full-time, Monday thru Friday from 8 AM – 5 PM, starting June 10, 2024 and ending August 2, 2024.

Role Responsibilities

• Receive and unpack incoming hardware and equipment
• Execute process of asset tagging and etching computer devices with attention to quality and detail
• Follow standardized process to stage devices for imaging
• Repackage hardware for shipment and delivery
• Shadow PDT field engineers to gain exposure to professional IT and service delivery model

Qualifications

• Enrolled and active student at Detroit Public Schools
• Must have reliable daily transportation to PDT’s Novi Warehouse where primary responsibilities occur
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently
• Ability to interact and partner with team members to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Confident communicator to collaborate with teammates
• Applications must be accompanied by a letter of recommendation from a DPS teacher.

Preferred, but not required:

• Ideal candidate is a DPS graduating Senior. Juniors moving into Senior year will also be considered.
