The Enterprise Architect is responsible for gathering customer requirements, understanding success criteria and translating them into business outcomes. A background in complex problem-solving leveraging wisdom earned in Security, Cloud, Networking, AI and professional services is a must. Spending time with customers and field sellers is where you will provide technical guidance and integration insight. Having an extensive history with Hypervisors, Storage platforms, Hyperscalers, Cyber Security, Microsoft technologies, business continuity, Disaster Recovery and AI infrastructure are keys features of a successful candidate.

This position requires the individual to reside in the Columbus, OH area and be able to report to the office or customer sites up to five days a week (actual onsite frequency may vary, but the ability to do so is required).

What You Would Do
  • Engage in pre-sales activities, collaborating with the sales team to understand client needs and provide technical expertise.
  • Conduct client needs assessments to identify client and business needs and recommend tailored solutions.
  • Prepare compelling technical proposals and presentations for clients and prospects.
  • Develop local relationships with peer OEM Architects to strengthen local relationships and stay current with trends.
  • Design and plan data center and hybrid-cloud environments, including complex workload migrations, scalable hybrid architectures, security measures, performance improvements, and detailed scopes of work.
  • Evaluate and recommend compute, storage, virtualization, cloud and ransomware recovery technologies to enhance customer infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with System Engineers to implement and maintain data center and cloud solutions deliverables.
  • Develop and implement security strategies to safeguard enterprise systems and data.
  • Collaborate with the broader PDT Enterprise Architect team to share knowledge and drive consistent experience across customers.
What We Are Looking For
  • At least 5 years of experience working for a networking OEM leader or VAR in a pre-sales engineering capacity and extensive experience in working directly with the end customers.
  • Experience with VMware/Broadcom, AWS, Azure, Dell, Pure, Nutanix, NetApp, HPE, IBM Cloud and other hybrid cloud technologies.
  • Extensive knowledge of data center, server, storage, and hybrid-cloud technologies and the ability to help customers optimize their infrastructure and migrations to power their business.
  • Experience working with top data center, cloud, and server/storage partners to co-create tailored solutions, leverage partner resources, and maintain up-to-date certifications.
  • Understanding the channel, how to work with our OEM counterparts to ensure we maximize the customer experience is important.
