Associate Wi-Fi Engineer

The company is seeking to hire multiple part-time Associate, Wi-Fi Engineers to support our Professional Services team in a statewide wireless network project. The position would entail traveling across the State of Indiana deploying wireless access points. When not traveling to client sites, employees report and work from our office in Carmel, IN.

Role Responsibilities

• Work with project team to install wireless access points as directed at customer locations.
• Shadow engineers to learn wireless concepts and configuration tasks.
• Assist with any site surveys for indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi networks, in various types of buildings and scenarios.
• Assist with the creation of associated project documentation (People Driven Plan

Qualifications

• Enrolled and active student at Ivy Tech Community College
• Creativity and a passion for learning new things.
• Good organizational skills.
• Self-motivated.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to sites across all of Indiana
• Must be comfortable working from ladders and heights on a lift.
• Must have some mechanical aptitude for physically installing access points on walls and ceilings.

Preferred, but not required:

• General networking experience.
