Maui based Per Diem Pediatric Occupational & Physical Therapists

Job Description

We seek passionate, experienced pediatric Physical and Occupational Therapists to help provide coverage for our clinic so our kiddos don't ever have to go without services!

About Us:

We are a growing outpatient practice on Maui serving a great need in our community. We provide high quality Physical and Occupational Therapy services to children of all ages and abilities and are looking for contracted therapists who share our passion of helping children to help us out when coverage is needed at the clinic. This could be occasional hours to help fill our after school need, or coverage when our full time therapists are out on PTO or out sick (if you seek steady part time work, please apply for our employee OT position!). We currently have three locations in central, upcountry and west Maui with state-of-the-art equipment and will continue to grow to reach all children who could benefit from our services.

If you join our team as a per diem therapist, you will be helping to contribute to our mission to help serve all children of Maui, and to ensure our kiddos do not suffer a disruption to their therapy services.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate children of all ages and abilities, develop individualized plan of care, and provide effective treatment to progress children toward their goals while educating and supporting families through the process.

  • Collaborate with other clinicians and healthcare professionals to assist in providing the best patient care.

  • Assist families in obtaining medically necessary durable medical equipment.

  • Effectively communicate with patients, families, staff, and other healthcare professionals.

  • Timely and accurate documentation.

  • Support the team and clinic so we can fulfill our vision and help more children.

Requirements:

  • Pediatric Therapy Experience (any but preferably 1 year)

  • OT or PT Degree with active license in the United States (will need to obtain license in Hawaii)

  • Live on the island of Maui

  • Strong communication skills
