Our offices are 2 blocks from the beach, around the corner from 3rd Street Promenade and dog friendly. Just a few of the things that made us certified as a Great Place to Work® for 2017.

But all of this is meaningless without great people. So right now we are looking for a hands-on Lead Site Reliability Engineer with a deep background in programming, systems, and networking that wants to build our new Site Reliability team.

How does this role contribute to the cause?

Let’s start with 99.99999% uptime. This role will be key to the overall site/platform development, system operations, resiliency testing, security hardening, and performance engineering. Staying bulletproof as we scale is an imperative that will be owned by this role. Can you build world-class?

Who will be successful in this role?

An engineer with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science with a solid grounding in computer science fundamentals is what was written on the original position description. Some of our wish list items include experience building an action based alert system, a master of chaos testing (and disaster recovery), capacity planning and management, strong but not forceful technical leadership (have to play nice), and deep knowledge and production experience in designing, deploying and administering complex Amazon AWS cloud applications.

Why does this matter to us?

To win and keep our customers love we obsess over reliability. Our beautiful products (yes we said beautiful) depend on our ability to remain reliable as we grow. We’re looking for someone who shares our passion for engineering and can work with us to produce solutions of the highest quality.
