Business Development Representative

Job Description

Pathable offers a "Virtual Event Platform", allowing conferences and tradeshows to provide education, networking and commerce opportunities entirely online. Pathable is 100% remote working company. All activities will be performed using conferencing software (Zoom), phone and other modern tools.

The Business Development Representative will respond to requests for information by prospective clients, understand the client's needs, demonstrate the product and negotiate a contract for providing services. Leads are a mix of inbound and self-initiated prospecting. 

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in the event industry, either in event planning or event technology sales
  • Comfort and facility with technology and modern online tools and processes
  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner
  • Home office or appropriate, professional work environment
  • Empathy, intelligence and good humor

Key Responsibilities

  • Sell (but come on, did we need to say that?) We are a consultative-minded sales organization.
  • Perform on-line demos using screensharing software for prospects
  • Follow-up on inbound leads by phone and e-mail, tracking each to close
  • Qualify prospects via the phone, email or online meetings
  • Work with marketing to develop and fine-tune messaging, presentations, processes, and campaigns that lead to stronger conversion rates
  • Meet assigned revenue goals on a quarterly basis
  • Perform database and recordkeeping activities, including Salesforce.com updates, reporting and monitoring
  • Maintaining the highest integrity and professionalism on what you communicate to prospects and customers

Compensation Opportunity

  • Target OTE $100,00 - $150,000 / year
  • Guaranteed minimum salary plus commission plan with NO CAP to your earning potential
