UNIX Support Engineer

B.S. in Computer Science or related field with experience supporting software development and cloud administration.
About the Job:
As part of a team, build and maintain internal and external Unix development operations environments including private cloud solutions supporting PARC research and data analytic activities. Job involves supporting the underlying hardware, operating systems, cloud software, and supporting applications as well as building / maintaining template machines and assisting users in building their virtual machines.
- Redhat, CentOS, Debian and Ubuntu Linux systems administration
- Shell, Python, Perl, and Ruby Scripting
- VMware, OpenStack, and Amazon AWS management
- Hadoop and Cloudera environment administration
- Chef, Puppet, Ansible, and CFEngine configuration management
- Git and Subversion version control administration
- LDAP, OpenLDAP, Active Directory and 389 Directory server
- Nagios, Munin, InterMapper, Ganglia, Collectd monitoring systems
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
