About the Job
The cyber physical security systems area is looking for an enthusiastic and talented IoT/Bluetooth developer intern. The ideal candidate will have experience with Bluetooth 4.x (including Bluetooth low-energy) firmware and mobile application development for Android and iOS. Previous experience in Raspberry Pi (RPI) projects will be preferable.
The candidate will implement and develop easy-to-use Apps for IOS and Android that interfaces with Bluetooth 4.x (BLE) modules on a RPI3 board.
Familiarity / Experience with one or more of the following topics is highly desirable:
• BLE APIs on both Android and IOS
• Experience with Bluetooth / BLE protocols
• BLE hardware chipsets (BCM43438/CYW4348 series)
• Linux and the Raspberry-Pi ecosystem
• Shell scripting skills (Python, sh / bash)
• Understanding of IoT Security
• Understanding of cloud API technologies: REST, OAuth, JSON is a plus
• Understanding of networking technologies e.g. TCP/IP, UDP, MAC addresses, IP packets, DNS
The candidate should have a bachelor’s or masters’ degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
