Glass Forming Technician

Job Description

Technican or Glass Artist to make parts for stressed glass projects

 

We are seeking glass artists to support PARC’s glass slumping and forming capabilities. No technical background is required for this role. You should be willing to work closely with a medium sized team and have a flexible schedule to accommodate tight deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Experience slumping and forming silicate glasses.
  • Experience making ceramic molds.
  • Experience with kiln/furnace operations and maintenance.
  • Interest in applying artistic talent to help solve challenging engineering problems.
  • Must provide documentation of status as a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or U.S. protected person under U.S.C. 1324b(a) (3).

Work Hours

  • Salary 70k or based on experience
  • Flexible hours, but typically 9am - 5pm
  • Monday to Friday, with potential weekend work near deadlines
