Graduate or advanced undergraduate student with laboratory skills

About the Job:


The Energy Systems Area is seeking an intern to assist with an ambitious project involving the design, fabrication, and testing of a small-scale novel cooling device. The position will involve device assembly and laboratory experimentation.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Extremely careful and meticulous
  • Experience with laboratory measurements (calibration, data logging, etc.)
  • Experience with assembly of millimeter or centimeter-scale devices (epoxy, soldering, etc.)

The following additional experience is desired:

  • Familiarity with LabVIEW or similar software
  • Experience with high-voltage systems
  • Experience with thermal systems
  • Experience with basic machining (drill press, etc.)
