Systems Analyst

We have a best-in-class delivery team supporting a diverse range of clients with various systems across most verticals.  The System Analyst will be responsible for servicing electronic security systems from leading manufacturers such as Lenel, Genetec, Axis, Milestone and Avigilon.



  • Install, configure, and test servers, storage, workstations, and network infrastructure for physical security solutions
  • Install, configure, and test physical security management software packages, databases, operating systems, and virtualization platforms
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and service issues related to the above infrastructure
  • Work directly with other Systems Analysts, Project Managers, Sales, and Engineering resources to help design IT infrastructure for physical security
  • Support sales efforts and activities in specifying IT components and integration methods
  • Be accountable for the installation and integration of systems, ensuring timelines are met and a quality solution is delivered
  • Work closely and collaborate with our Integrated Systems Technicians to ensure successful system delivery
  • Respond, support, and be available to Integrated Systems Technicians, while supporting and mentoring their learning and growth in IT infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain client relationships while building confidence and respect in the organization’s abilities throughout the industry
  • Support the PMO in planning deployments
  • Prepare and maintain documentation in an efficient and professional manner
  • Research, prototype, and develop integrations between the components of physical and logical security systems
  • Be organized, enthusiastic, and take direction from the Project Management Office and the Director of Projects & Design
  • Be willing and available to participate in an afterhours OnCall rotation



  • Minimum of 3 years’ progressive experience in Information Technology, with proven experience in designing, deploying, and supporting complex systems
  • Postsecondary degree or diploma from a Technology Institute in computing, network support, or electronics
  • Ability to pass varying levels of security clearance
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical data and analysis to internal and external stakeholders
  • Sound organizational skills, with the capability to handle multiple tasks and projects in a fastpaced and priority-changing environment
  • Legally entitled to operate motor vehicle in Alberta with Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment, with strong interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to mentor and build the technical abilities of the organization
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills


Experience with the following technologies is required:

  • Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012, and 2016, Windows 7/8/10, basic MS SQL administration tasks, IP networking, routers/switches, backup concepts and logical security
  • Accreditation or certification from a major network supplier such as Cisco
  • Certification in, or experience with, Microsoft Server and Client OS

Experience with the following technologies is an asset:

  • Virtualization, clustering, fault tolerant systems, modern development and scripting languages, advanced MS SQL administration tasks including reporting, SAN/WAN architectures, HTML, JavaScript, XML, and Crystal Reports
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Expert (MCSE) and/or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP)
  • Understanding of experience with Physical Security system integration, including CCTV, Access Control, Intercom and Intrusion
  • Certification in, or extensive experience with, VMware
