Summary

We are currently seeking a Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis to lead Cresa’s budgeting & forecasting and management reporting. The role will partner closely with executive leadership to provide insights, guide decision making, and support the achievement of the company’s financial goals. In addition, the role will serve as the primary business partner for functional cost centers including Human Resources, Marketing, Finance, and Information Technology. The role will be instrumental in defining and implementing improved processes and reporting and financial systems requirements. This role requires working collaboratively with our corporate controller and regional markets-based business finance team. This role will report directly to the CFO.


Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Lead Cresa’s annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasts, and long-range strategic planning
    • Establish rigorous, disciplined and systematic FP&A and performance measurement tools across the organization in support of monthly, quarterly and year-end budget, forecast and close.
    • Lead the organizational Annual Operating Plan and Quarterly forecasts with effective tools and analysis to ensure understanding of financial projections & related risks & opportunities
  • Coordinate regular business reviews and data packages to establish action plans for profitable growth and evaluation of returns on investment decisions.
  • Develop and deliver executive financial presentations
    • Develop monthly/quarterly/annual executive financial summaries to ensure a clear understanding of financial results, risks and opportunities.
    • Develop standard processes and reporting packages to deploy across region Markets for evaluating business performance
  • Partner with Controller to prepare cash projections to effectively manage cash balances and maximize the return on any excess cash balances.
  • Drive financial analysis of business performance results and key performance drivers to support business prioritization and strategic decision making.
  • Partner with Markets Finance and Operations to redefine Salesforce, for ease of broker usability, accuracy in data, and development of value-add reporting.
  • Manage and maintain a multi-year strategic plan in collaboration with Corporate Development that clearly identifies specific actions and tasks needed to achieve future state goals.
  • Lead coordination and submission of on-time senior debt and capital partner covenant tracking and proactive monitoring of long-range plan impacts on covenants in coordination with Corporate Development sensitivity modeling.
  • Participate in due diligence, valuation and integration of specific M&A or other strategic ventures.
  • Proactively build relationships across the organization, developing an understanding of business issues and aligning the FP&A function with the business’ growth agenda

Qualifications

Required:

  • Proven history of implanting best practices around management reporting systems and processes into normal operations of the team
  • History of building relationships at all levels of an organization, including senior leadership
  • Familiarity with real estate and professional services firms preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership role model for focused and disciplined finance thinkers who can derive actionable insights from data
  • Able to teach and inspire others
  • Able to lead through influence rather than authority
  • Team-based and collaborative work style; open and transparent approach to business issues and challenges
  • Able to assess business’ finance organization and talent needs collaboratively to meet profitable growth objectives
  • Has a good executive presence that can relate to people at all levels of the organization with superior listening and communication skills


Education/Experience

Required:

  • 10-15+ years of increasingly responsible financial experience with an outstanding professional record in a complex finance organization
  • Successful track record at a rapidly growing company that is expanding through M&A, new product introduction and operational simplification
  • Operating experience with P&L accountability within a finance context along with enterprise level experience preferred
  • Experience using information technology as it applies to finance to drive performance and productivity enhancements
