Summary
The Senior Vice President – National Account role is responsible for leading and setting the direction of the National Account team for their location or region including team leadership, business development, strategy development, and P&L accountability. This position leads a team of Vice Presidents and potentially varying levels of Project Managers. This role is a regional leader working closely with the Principal – National Accounts to set the strategic direction for their group and translates this strategy into specific business objectives for their team.
This individual can build and cultivate relationships across all parties critical to managing and expanding their group’s portfolio, including key stakeholders, clients, internal customers, team members and vendor partners. This role requires the ability to demonstrate exceptional sophistication with client relationship development, strategy and business development, leadership, and operational excellence. Must be able to create clarity for their teams, bridge relationships with internal and external clients, and provide strategic counsel to senior leadership.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of the group’s business planning and strategy in partnership with the Principal – National Accounts and other senior leadership.
- Translate organizational strategy into focused business objectives for the group. Ensures alignment and clarity across teams for the successful execution and implementation of the business objectives.
- Cultivate relationships with existing and new clients to expand the portfolio of Partners.
- Accountable for the successful execution of the portfolio of projects, nationally and internationally
- Leads a geographically dispersed team that includes Vice Presidents, all levels of Project and Program Managers (PM), Assistant PMs, Workplace Services and others, as needed.
- Provides direction and decision-making regarding issues, initiatives, and opportunities that have been escalated to the Principal level.
- Responsible for identifying opportunities to scale business and expand client portfolio for their group and the broader organization.
- Facilitate strategy meetings with regional, national and global program partners.
- Leverage metrics and analytics utilizing the Performance Management team, to shape data driven storytelling and decision making that inform strategy development and direction.
- Able to read and understand project documents such as: contracts, drawings, client work requests, vendor proposals, electrical, data management documents and building infrastructure documents.
- Lead talent management and development conversations and decisions for the team, identifying successors, determining critical roles for pipeline needs, ensuring completion of compliance training requirements, and committing to the development of internal talent in partnership with Human Resources.
- Responsible for scaling team to support client requirements in region.
- Role model for accountability and responsibility.
Qualifications
- Strong communicator with a proven ability to translate strategy into actionable business objectives and build alignment.
- Has led geographically dispersed teams.
- Has had responsibility for business budgeting and alignment to enterprise P&L.
- Very strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive presentations.
- Strong problem solver and facilitator, especially in highly ambiguous situations.
- Client relationship management experience.
- Proficiency with industry standard business platforms.
- Good person with high ethical integrity.
- Must be available for occasional weekend or evening work as required by move schedules.
- This is not a remote job and requires regular in-office presence
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS/BEng/BArch) preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of real estate project management, MAC (move, add, change) services, or relocation experience specifically in commercial office campuses preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, MS Project, MS Visio.

- Travel (up to 50%) to other sites across the United States.
- Must be able to safely access construction sites.
