Summary

The Senior Project Manager (SPM) – National Account will collaborate with leadership and business partners to support the organization's strategic objectives. The Senior Project Manager may supervise one or more project managers, assistant project managers, and or project coordinators. Additionally, they will work closely with and provide detailed progress reports to the business unit director. This role is responsible for coordinating all project efforts, both administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of projects. They are responsible for estimating fees, scoping work, preparing proposals, and overseeing the contract process. The Senior Project Manager will also initiate strategic plans, managing the design, development, and implementation of commercial real estate projects on behalf of the client, using established processes, experience, and expertise.

This individual can communicate clearly with all parties involved in a project, including key stakeholders, internal customers, and team members, to lead a project team in meeting or exceeding a standard set of goals. They must be able to demonstrate exceptional customer service, teamwork, and attention to detail to ensure client satisfaction. They can navigate ambiguity and conflict while maintaining professionalism and staying focused on the project goals. This role includes business development and a focus on expanding current and future client opportunities. The Senior Project Manager must be a strong leader who contributes to Cresa’s values and team-oriented environment, with a positive, proactive, integrated, people-centric approach, with the ability and experience to motivate and keep the project delivery team aligned.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations and deliver on strategic and operational plans aligned with the company and client vision.
  • Provide leadership to technical, professional, and administrative teams engaged in project and program activities, fostering a high-performing, collaborative environment.
  • Identify and develop new and existing client opportunities, including proposal writing, conducting interviews, and following up on engagements to support business growth.
  • Oversee planning, execution, and closeout of multiple concurrent projects and minor capital improvements, including small works programs within supply chain and operational facilities.
  • Develop and implement scalable processes and standards to drive efficiency, consistency, and quality across multiple sites and project types.
  • Support account growth through outstanding project delivery, client service excellence, and process improvements.
  • Maintain comprehensive project schedules and milestones using Cresa or client platforms and technologies.
  • Define project and program goals, budgets, schedules, and scopes in partnership with clients; provide regular status updates and proactively resolve issues with value-focused solutions.
  • Manage relationships with external partners and vendors, ensuring clarity on deliverables, reviewing invoices and change orders, and maintaining strong collaboration throughout.
  • Read and interpret critical project documents such as lease agreements, work letters, contracts, technical drawings, and vendor proposals.
  • Utilize project tools and templates to maintain accurate documentation and dashboards.
  • Track and manage qualitative and quantitative value adds through monthly value logs and operational metrics.
  • Facilitate project meetings, accurately document outcomes, and distribute minutes to stakeholders.
  • Oversee quality control of project outcomes, including field audits before, during, and after completion.
  • Provide timely and measurable responses to client and team inquiries and fully support issue resolution and escalations.
  • Supervise, develop, and mentor team members; organize and prioritize work assignments to support professional growth.
  • Act as a key point of contact, building productive relationships across all levels to drive influence and alignment.
  • Report regularly on project progress, metrics, and outcomes to leadership; collaborate on regional strategy, growth projections, and risk assessments.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing, capture lessons learned and promote best practices to support operational excellence.
  • Execute new initiatives, document best practices, and streamline internal processes to drive efficiency and support strategic objectives.
  • Analyze data patterns, convert insights into actionable strategies, and drive measurable value across programs and projects.
  • Integrate with broader program initiatives and objectives, acting as a liaison to ensure alignment and best practices.
  • Manage and approve project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery.


Key Qualifications

  • Ability to think and act programmatically — skilled at developing repeatable processes, setting standards, and ensuring consistent delivery across diverse sites and projects.
  • Extensive experience managing small works or minor capital improvement programs, particularly within supply chain, operational, or facility settings.
  • Strong background in small-scale interior fit-outs, refreshes, or reconfigurations.
  • Exceptional client relationship management skills; a trusted advisor capable of building and maintaining strong partnerships.
  • Highly self-driven and able to operate independently, with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, action-oriented mindset.
  • Agile and adaptable; able to quickly respond to evolving business needs, shifting priorities, and dynamic project scopes.
  • Strong leadership, management, and integration skills, with a demonstrated ability to mentor and develop teams.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills, capable of clearly articulating project status, risks, and mitigation strategies to leadership and clients.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and turn insights into actionable strategies that deliver measurable value.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a program/project management capacity with experience in leading, motivating, and developing employees.
  • Experience in managing the delivery of customer-facing and internally facing products or services.
  • Contract Management experience preferred.


Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS/BEng/BArch) preferred.
  • Minimum of 9 - 10 years of related experience in project management, business management, or related area of study.
  • PMI or PMP certification or similar from an accredited organization is preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, MS Project, MS Visio.
