Job Summary
The Director – Account leads account teams, oversees client relationships, and drives both business development and account strategy. This role includes responsibility for the account or division's profit and loss (P&L). The Director manages a team of Senior Program and Project Managers, Program and Project Managers, and other supporting roles, functioning as a "player/coach" who provides strategic direction while engaging in hands-on tactical operations as needed.
Key responsibilities include building and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring successful program and project delivery, and achieving key performance indicators for the account or division. The ideal candidate will effectively communicate with internal and external team members, as well as consultants, contractors, and vendors, to align on goals, performance, and delivery.
The Director must excel in navigating ambiguity and conflict with professionalism, maintaining a clear focus on achieving program objectives. This role also requires a "seller-doer" approach, combining active business development with a dedication to identifying and expanding future client opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and Oversee the Global Signage Program: Provide strategic direction and operational leadership for all aspects of the global signage program.
- Identify and Develop Key Program Processes and Strategies: Establish and refine program processes and strategies to ensure successful project delivery. Serve as the primary client interface, providing updates on program scope, schedule, budget, risks, and KPIs while identifying and communicating areas of opportunity.
- Client Relationship Management: Lead efforts to build and strengthen client relationships, ensuring alignment and fostering long-term collaboration.
- Team Management: Supervise, mentor, and support a team of project management professionals (typically 3-5 direct reports), ensuring alignment with program objectives and fostering professional growth.
- Vendor Management: Build and sustain comprehensive knowledge of consultant, contractor and vendor services, capabilities, processes, and deliverables to ensure seamless program execution.
- Facilitate Strategic Meetings: Lead strategy sessions with key stakeholders to align objectives, refine processes, and drive program success.
- Program and Project Document Review: Demonstrate the ability to read and understand various commercial real estate project documents, including: contracts, drawings, client work requests, vendor proposals, electrical plans, data management documents, and building infrastructure documents.
- Leadership Advisory: Offer guidance and leadership on issues, initiatives, and risks as they are escalated by team members, vendors, clients, and other program stakeholders, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Program Documentation: Utilize program tools and templates to ensure project documentation files are up-to-date and accurate.
- Financial Tracking: Monitor and report on financial performance monthly, ensuring accuracy and alignment with program goals
- Co-Lead Recruitment Efforts: Collaborate with the recruiting team to drive people recruitment efforts, ensuring the selection of top talent.
- Scale the Team to Meet Client Needs: Lead efforts to scale the team in alignment with regional client requirements, while actively identifying and implementing strategies to recruit and retain high-performing team members.
- Model Accountability and Responsibility: Set a standard of excellence by embodying accountability and responsibility in all aspects of work.

Experience/Training/Education/Certification
- Bachelor's degree (BEng/BArch) preferred.
- 7-10 years of commercial real estate program or project management
- Ability to read construction drawings, floor plan drawings and commercial construction project budgets desired
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, MS Project, Acrobat Professional or Bluebeam, MS Visio
- PMP, PgMP, LSS Greenbelt or higher certification a plus
- Experience in daily communication with client and team members, exemplifying professionalism and accuracy
- Ability to work within cloud based and online management software
- Experience leading and managing a team of professionals
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Client relationship management experience
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work onsite a minimum of three (3) days per week
- Willing to travel up to 25% of time in U.S. Limited international travel as requested by client.
- Must be able to safely access construction sites.
- The person in this role needs to be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
