The Position:

OPSWAT is searching for a Sales Development Representative to join our Marketing Team working out of our San Francisco office.  You will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives.  You must be comfortable making dozens of calls and sending numerous email campaigns per day, working with channel partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects and closing sales.  Additionally, you will be tasked with consulting prospective customers on how to improve their security architecture and inbound/outbound data flows by implementing OPSWAT security solutions. OPSWAT is growing fast, and we are looking for a polished, energetic and motivated sales professional to help!

 

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
  • Prospect through proactive outbound calling to qualify leads and identify decision makers and influencers
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory
  • Team with channel team to build pipeline and close deals
  • Perform effective online demos to prospects

 

What We Need From You:

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Confident conversationalist, whether in-person, on the phone or via web meetings
  • Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
  • Capable of understanding customer needs and requirements
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Acute listening skills and a desire to provide quality customer service and satisfaction
  • Willingness to travel for company business events
  • Appreciation of the challenges faced by IT security professionals and a desire to provide solutions

 

It Would Be Nice If You Had:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
  • NetSuite.com or SalesForce.com CRM experience
  • Experience selling network security, email security, endpoint security, cross domain, forensics, incident response or malware analysis solutions
  • Command of another language other than English
