The Position

 

OPSWAT is looking for a new IT Director who will work alongside the Senior IT Director to support the global IT infrastructure team.  We are looking for a hands-on professional who enjoys rolling up his or her sleeves and working directly with the team to achieve the goals of both the team and the company. You will come with a strong background in Cyber Security and a propensity for focusing on security risks and understanding how to quickly eliminate them. He/she will be responsible for leading and managing the IT team and supporting OPSWAT employees worldwide.

 

What You Will Be Doing

  • Improving the global security posture of the OPSWAT network and server infrastructure
  • Ensuring the high performance and reliability of OPSWAT IT systems
  • Hands-On management of private virtual infrastructure (VMWare, Xen, etc.)
  • Managing and improving monitoring infrastructure
  • Researching and improving new technologies
  • Leading the efforts to improve IT processes
  • Incident management with strong communication skills
  • Creating and reviewing documentation, designing new standard operating procedures
  • Identifying and troubleshooting recurring platform issues and engaging service owners to drive resolution
  • Mentoring peers in your areas of technical and operational strength

 

What We Need From You

  • Strong background in Cyber Security and the hardening of both networks AND server infrastructure
  • Self-motivated and capable of making the right decision to move the team forward on a daily basis
  • Ability to oversee the technology operation within the team and evaluate them according to our established goals
  • Effective organizational skills to maintain a consistently high standard of operations
  • Previous experience in debugging and performance tuning in production environments
  • Ability to establish and adjust IT policies and systems in order to support the implementation of strategies set by the Sr. IT Director
  • Experience in controlling IT budget and capable of purchasing efficient and cost effective technological equipment and software
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Willing to roll up your sleeves and get dirty whenever required (Hands on is required)
  • A well-rounded exposure to typical IT skills and technologies
  • 5+ years experience in a server administration role
  • 5+ years experience in a management role
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and a commitment to document findings
  • Experience driving collaborative projects from conception to delivery

  • Experience in driving conference calls and managing remote teams
  • Experience in expanding knowledge of new domains and sharing with the teams
  • Strong customer focus and willingness to go the extra mile for internal employees
  • Understanding of network troubleshooting and remediation
