CIO and Head of Global Operations 

The Position: 


We are searching for an experienced, cross functional CIO (Chief Information Officer) and Head of Global Operations to oversee and enhance our operational strategies through a period of high growth and beyond. A successful CIO should bring in-depth knowledge of current and up-and-coming trends in the IT field, specifically Cybersecurity software and services and Critical Infrastructure Protection.  

This individual will be responsible for creating a vision for driving efficiencies in Supply Chain and developing organizational alignment across OPSWAT’s manufacturing operations. They will be responsible for developing and publishing metrics to reflect the effectiveness and efficiency of all contract manufacturing and Supply Chain activities. The successful candidate must have extensive knowledge of managing CM’s and these function areas. The Facility Operations facet of this role will be tasked with developing facilities and workplace strategies, overseeing the facilities operations team, planning and ensuring operational budgets, and contributing to the overall growth of the company’s physical locations and global presence.  

To be successful, you will be highly-analytical, professional, and possess excellent organizational skills. This position is based out of our Tampa, FL office and will be supporting technology operations globally while closely partnering with our CEO. Key locations include Hungary, Israel, Ireland, Japan, Romania, San Francisco, Taiwan, Vietnam, and others. 


What You Will Be Doing:  

  • Developing Global goals and strategies to ensure operational efficiency and plan for technical growth. 

  • Directing and establishing IT-related projects on a worldwide landscape. 

  • Monitoring changes in the technology sector to discover ways the company can improve and develop. 

  • Supervising the networks, systems, and processes in the company to ensure optimal performance. 

  • Partnering closely with CEO and globally distributed leadership team 

  • Ensuring ISMS compliance and certifications, such as ISO 27001 

  • Providing strategic vision and leadership for office relocations and logistics 

  • Contributing to the planning and execution of supply chain enhancements 

  • Evaluating performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics 

  • Working with senior leadership to oversee and manage financial analysis, site selection and build-out of office spaces, manage service providers and coordinate facilities and workplace services-related activities across all operations globally.  

  • Leading “change management” for Global Facilities and Workplace Services   

  • Development and management of global facilities, workplace services, and operating capital budgets.  

  • Developing standards and metrics for delivery of Facilities and Workplace Services, KPI’s, and SLA’s.  

  • Oversight of physical security and safety, including compliance with safety and environmental regulations imposed by local and regional regulatory agencies.  

  • Partnering with leadership and legal team to ensure local, regional, and federal safety and facilities compliance for all global sites, including Covid-19 Safety Protocols.  

  • Able to advise on the revision and implementation of the incident response lifecycle 



What We Need From You:  

  • Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or relevant field. 

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in information technology and data management preferably in a critical infrastructure domain. 

  • In-depth knowledge of technology administration and management processes. 

  • A highly-analytical mind-set with superb problem-solving skills. 

  • Outstanding communication and personability, Highly responsive.  

  • Good understanding of modern databases and information system technologies. 

  • Proven success scaling operations in a cybersecurity product/service organization 

  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development 

  • Experience with trade compliance 

  • Provide thought leadership and vision to create the future state of the global planning supply/contract manufacturing process to enable rapid and responsive planning in a fast paced environment 

  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities 

  • Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving 

  • Ability to know when to jump in and lead by example, OPSWAT is a place to roll up your sleeves when necessary.  

  • Excellent leadership skills; enjoys and is good at being hands-on and strategic.  

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills with a track record for working collaboratively.  

  • Travel as necessary to global sites. 

  • Ability to work primarily from our Tampa, FL Headquarters 


It Would Be Nice If You Had: 

  • MBA or Degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or other business-related function  

  • Experience with a publicly traded company 

  • Experience working with remote, globally distributed teams 

  • Global, Supply Chain, Facilities and Workplace Services experience overseeing a diverse portfolio of offices, creative and collaboration spaces preferred.
