About Us:
One Hospitality is the parent company of Standard Hall, Annex, Live, Short North Pint House, Forno and our newest location Astra at the Rooftop of the A/C Hotel.
Responsibilities includes but not limited to::
- Support the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations
- Manage daily food preparation and service in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Supervise and lead kitchen staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to standards set forth by Culinary team
- Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation in alignment with brand standards Instagramable food, yummy food
- Assist with menu planning, development, and execution of specials and seasonal offerings
- Monitor inventory, control food costs, and minimize waste through effective kitchen management
- Ensure kitchen safety, sanitation, and cleanliness in accordance with local health regulations
- Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff; foster a positive and professional work environment
- Step in for the Executive Chef in their absence to maintain seamless operations
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction
- Communicate effectively with team members and ensure high productivity is a main focus
Requirements:
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training strongly preferred
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent culinary skills with a creative and quality-focused mindset
- Proficient in kitchen operations, inventory management, and food costing
- Deep understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Team motivator leads by example and promotes accountability
