Job Summary
Astra is a newly opened restaurant located in the heart of the Arena District. In addition to our lunch (opening late August) and dinner service, we proudly operate the breakfast program for the AC Hotel Columbus Downtown, offering a brunch-style breakfast to our hotel guests seven days a week. As a Breakfast Server, you’ll provide exceptional service to hotel guests during our brunch-style breakfast. You’ll greet and communicate with guests, explain the breakfast offerings, take made-to-order requests to the kitchen, and ensure the buffet area is clean, stocked, and welcoming. This role also includes completing a morning checklist to transition the restaurant smoothly for the 11 AM lunch service.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly greet hotel guests and explain breakfast setup, including made-to-order options

• Take and deliver kitchen orders accurately and efficiently

• Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized breakfast area at all times

• Monitor and replenish buffet items as needed

• Clear and reset tables promptly

• Keep beverage stations clean and stocked

• Follow and complete the morning shift checklist to prepare the restaurant for lunch service

• Communicate effectively with the kitchen, front desk, and management regarding guest needs

• Uphold hotel and restaurant service standards at all times

Schedule

• Morning shifts, 5:30 AM–11 AM

• Weekend and holiday availability required

• Opportunity for additional shifts if desired

Qualifications

• Previous serving or hospitality experience preferred, but not required

• Excellent communication and guest service skills

• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated

• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs and stand for the duration of the shift

• Positive, team-oriented attitude
