The Associate Director / Director of Marketing, Nurse/Patient Promo will report to the Executive Director of US Marketing and will be a key member of core project teams responsible for the planning and commercialization of Oncopeptides’ first therapy, melflufen, in the US.
This role will be responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive Nurse and Patient promotional plan for the launch of melflufen in the US. Success in this role will require the individual to have relevant launch/oncology experience and the ability to develop strong cross functional working relationships.
This position is based in Mountain View, CA or Waltham, MA
Domestic and international travel up to 20%.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop Nurse and Patient promotional plans for the melflufen launch including customer objectives, messaging and overall marketing mix across personal promotion, non-personal and key congresses
Ensure consistent implementation of branding and creative campaigns across nurse/patient marketing mix
Develop and roll out nurse and patient field force materials; Collaborate with sales leadership to ensure training plan and workshops support overall nurse/patient launch objectives
Develop and execute nurse and patient digital and media strategies; Report out on program performance
Collaborate with Market Access Team to develop HUB marketing materials for provider and patient audiences
Manage Agency of Record and other vendors; Ensure projects managed to budget, timelines and quality standards.
Develop and manage the Nurse & Patient promotions budget; Effectively manage agency SOWs and spend according to forecast
Ensure that all marketing and promotional activities are in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher, advanced degree preferred
Minimum 5-7 years of sales and/or marketing experience in the biopharmaceutical industry (oncology/hematology experience preferred)
Experience developing and executing impactful marketing strategies and promotional programs through collaborating effectively with functional partners and external agencies
Cross functional leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively, drive effective decision making and build consensus
Proven ability to understand, track, analyze and leverage customer and marketplace insights into building effective marketing strategies and campaigns
Ability to communicate effectively and with influence; having a persuasive and credible presentation style at all levels of the organization
Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing project deadlines to produce the most efficient, timely output of deliverables
Able to navigate through organizational ambiguity in a self-directed manner
Understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and their impact on the development of marketing materials
